Docket — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-11. Placeholder draft pending legal review before public launch — see the TODOs marked below.

What Docket does

Docket lets you upload or scan documents and ask questions about them. To answer, your document text and question are sent to our server, processed by an AI model, and the answer is sent back to your device. Nothing is sent to a third-party AI provider — the model runs on infrastructure we operate.

What we store

What we don't do

Data in transit and at rest

All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Documents are stored on our server for as long as your account/device keeps them, until you delete them.

Deleting your data

Deleting a document in the app permanently removes it and its chat history from our server.

Camera and photo access

Docket's scan feature uses your camera or photo library only when you choose to scan a document. Photos you capture are processed the same way as any other uploaded document (see above) and are not accessed for any other purpose.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
